Oh hey there, #50!
Fifty weeks of sending these lists of tiny spots of joy and inspiration your way. That feels both unbelievable and true at the same time. These are light, fun, and easy to write, but also I feel as if I’ve been doing it for quite some time. Which tracks, since I just took a look back and realized that it was almost exactly two years ago today when I sent Things of Beauty #1.
I still find all those things in the first installment lovely:
, birds, encouraging messages from , Ashley William’s work at The Well Collective, and that Ben Rector song. And I also love how these posts have grown over the last two years. Nothing is more gratifying to me than seeing readers connect in the comments.Thank you so much for reading, whether you’ve been here two years or two weeks. And especially thank you for sharing the tiny beauty that you’re finding in your world.
I’ve had a whirlwind couple of weeks here: a retreat, a conference presentation, and a little jury duty thrown in for good measure, so this week’s list is mostly about what’s in my digital TBR (to be read) pile— plus a cute creature and some bagels for good measure.
🐿 Looking forward to reading this book recommendation (Another Word for Love) and interview with the author (Carvell Wallace) from
. As if I need anything else to add to that TBR pile (believe me, the physical one is just as, shall we say . . . robust, as the digital one).🐿 The Future of Education is Not Personalized: It’s Personal from
. I mean that title— how could I not be intrigued? And I always find Josh’s thoughts on education refreshing and though-provoking.🐇 This little friend was just hanging out, munching on some grass in the little courtyard near my building at work last Friday.
🐿
I’m excited about this and not just because it has a stack of pancakes as its logo. What a kind, fun celebration of smaller publications and slow growth. Looking forward to diving deeper into this first post.🐿 And while we’re talking breakfast foods, I branched out from my typical sourdough loaf and made bagels! Here’s the recipe I used (they were indeed soft, chewy, and easy!).
What’s on your TBR list? Seen any tiny furry animals lately? Found any new music or have an old favorite to share? Did you read something off my digital TBR above? Let’s chat about it!
Be well, find tiny joy-
Mary-Chris
