I like when Soda asks to go under the blankets with me and snuggles up against my stomach. When Nacho wakes me up at night to cuddle his face against mine and fall back to sleep with his head in my hand. When strangers exchange kind words. When the sun shines through my husband’s stained glass and changes the wall and carpet colors. When fireflies make a night feel magical. When my peace lily and amaryllis bloom and when I find the first evidence of a bloom in one of my pineapple plants. When my sister visits. When my nieces request to sit beside me at the table. When a student finally gets it. When snow falls. When moonlight washed everything silvery white. When the owls call.
